I know nothing about sushi and never eat it so the criticisms about that menu didn't matter to me -- I had lunch at Moshi Moshi twice and both times were extraordinary. Taste (I learned I could specify exactly how spicy I wanted my food), quality and freshness of ingredients, and presentation were amazing. Can't beat the price, either. The family-owned environment is a welcome change from the chains, too.

Good service but food is so so
For some reason, the food just wasn't quite right. The rice in the sushi we ordered always fell apart with either chopstick or fork. We had to use our hand to hold everything together - is it how a sushi supposed to be enjoyed?

The tempura bowl looked awesome but the taste was aweful - the fried shrimp and veggies were fine but just didn't go well with the rice. The grain of the rice was longer than the other sushi rice in other Japanese restaurants in Treasure Valley. It looked like they used Thai rice instead of sushi rice in a Japanese bowl, which was a weird fusion for us.

The service was excellent with no doubt. But we think there is a great room for food improvement.

5 star
I went to this place a couple of months ago, they were closed for the afternoon but saw our car in the parking lot and yelled at us to come in anyway if we just wanted suishi bar. It was beautifully prepared, lovely environment, excellent food with flavors different than all the other I have had before. Service was excellent. I don't know why these guys don't have all the stars. Probably because this is Boise, that's the only reason I can think of. It's just really pricey for this town, but totally worth it.

smilies/cheesy.gif We went for a last minute anniversary dinner and it was wonderful! We went late so there was no wait and the Hibachi show was terrific! The food was delicious along with the wine and a great value as well. We will deffinately go again! Oh, and the dessert they gave us for our anniversary was unexpected and yummy! smilies/grin.gif

Awesome sushi but be ready to wait.
smilies/cool.gifI was very impressed with the sushi, probably the best in Boise but the wait was way to long and the waitress didn't even acknowledge it Normally I would expect an apology, maybe a free appetizer, something...I guess its normal there. The rolls almost made it worth it but not quite. I'll eat there again but I will order it over the phone and pick it up for take out.

Moshi Moshi English for Delicioso
I had a great time with my family. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service was great. The Thai food was wonderful. The plating was beautiful and portions were great! A definite recommendation to try it out. The Benihana-like show is worth every penny!!!!

We will never eat here again!!!
By far, this is the worst restaurant we've been to. We got there at 6:30 p.m. and ordered our appetizer and drinks. The drinks came and we waited for the apptetizers. The rest of our party came and they ordered from the kitchen. They got their food in like 15-20 minutes. We still didn't have our appetizers from the sushi bar. An hour and 15 minutes later, our appetizer and 1 of our sashimi dinners came. Another 15-20 mins. the second sashimi dinner came. By the time our dinner came, the rest of our party already ate. The food was good, it's just the timing. Our server was awesome too! We also did not like management. Isn't it common sense that you are supposed to make your customers happy??? The manager seemed to be pissed off for some reason. We have experience in the food business. We have been in their shoes and being customers. I was just disappointed and will never eat there again.

Awesome Food and a Great Show!!!
This is by far the best Japanese Steakhouse that I've been to! The food was great and plentiful. The owner / chef Tommy treats you like one of the family as he puts on a great show. We were also very pleased with what you get for your money.

This is a must if you enjoy asian cuisine.
