Expensive - not all that
Shige's downtown has better food in my opinion at better prices. I won't likely return. I spent $20 on a lunch that wasn't quite enough food where at Shige's I'd spend $15-18 and enjoy the fish more.

Ahi Sushi ROCKS!!
We have been to Ahi Sushi Bar in Eagle serveral different times. WE LOVE THE PLACE! Our service is always great (we like to sit with Deeandra or Jessie those gilrs are awesome!) The fish is aways top of the line fresh and the sushi chefs there know thier business! I think their prices are right alongside with the rest of the sushi places around boise and it is worth the drive to Eagle. If you want fresh fish, take my word for it, Ahi has the freshest! smilies/grin.gif

Forget Ahi
Ahi is a great place, but if you want REAL good sushi and dont want to spend too much money, go to IOU sushi on milwaukee. 's 16 bucks a person for ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI and 23 bucks for dinner ALL YOU CAN EAT. and its not fake california roll nonsense. its real raw fish thats really good. and WELL worth it since its ALL YOU CAN EAT. the place is ran by natives of an island below Japan called Pohnpei. it's part of the federated states of Micronesia and their culture is influenced heavily by the japanese. so try it out before going back to Ahi. see the difference whether its good or bad. oh yeah, also some live entertainment. luau style.

Way over priced
4 people 1 of which is a 91 year old woman from japan paid 76.00 for lunch with no japanese tradition. food and drink served in plastic. not even 1 japanese staff in sight. fish was fresh for sure but still tsuru or fujiyama is better priced. over all not happy. Japanese fusion?? more like americanized japanese food.

if you want it fresh, go to Ahi
As a veteran sushi bar waitress and bartender, I have the desire every time a new sushi bar opens to go try it out. Well, when I went to Ahi everything was done very well. The sushi chefs obviously trained the servers there to know what the fish is, where it comes from, how it's caught and how it's served. AMAZING! The standards of Idaho sushi have been raised. Ahi sets the standards in which other sushi bars will or SHOULD aspire to reach. With one of the owners having a fish distribution company based out of San Diego you can tell the fish is hella fresh and they seem to have extremely reasonable prices. Not to mention that the first time I went, they had Bluefin Tuna for $12.50, the next time I went it was $11.00, when I asked why the price difference I was told that the owner got a better price on the Bluefin and he felt compelled to pass on the savings to his customers instead of charging the higher price. HOW COOL IS THAT? Service was impeccable and atmosphere was very relaxing yet high energy. LOVE IT!!!! WILL BE BACK!!!

expensive lunch venue
Good food if you are willing to spend $15-20 for lunch. No lunch menu. Dinner menu pricing. Good sushi, but nothing special. It is cleaner than Sakura which is a big advantage. Too bad they don't have a nice rice bowl, or a few sushi lunch specials.
