Delicious Baklava, Serve-Yourself-Lipton Tea
The best baklava in town (so far). Loaded with honey and nuts, excellent. Gyros were yummy as well, delicious flavor. These two out-weigh the negatives below-- in a big way.

The rice is ... pasty, yellow, out-of-can flavor. For a Middle Eastern place (I've spent time in the ME), this is... . smilies/sad.gif The tea is standard, self-serve tea (not hot tea known in the desert of Wadi Rum). The place is definitely Americanized on so many levels, so don't go hoping for an "authentic" experience. There is no ambiance that is Middle Eastern (in fact, the decor appears a bit confused - modern x Southwestern rugs on the wall ).

We eat outside because inside (at least in summer) smells as though the air conditioning system hasn't been cleaned...a little mildewy.

There are table outdoors, and that makes for an entirely pleasant meal!

The staff is friendly, coffee-house style.

In short, a FANTASTIC place to get baklava and gyros!!! The place is mobbed at lunch, so get there early. However, compared to East Coast Middle Eastern or overseas authentic, the place is kind of "fast food" Middle Eastern.
