Melting Pot reopened two years ago...
Love me some fondue and was stoked to find out reports of no Melting Pot in Boise were inaccurate. Turns out they reopened in October of 2010 with new owners.

the mona lisa is better
If you are going to do fondue, definitely do the mona lisa. the drive will be well worth the service and experience. The mona uses choice meats, not dried up old meat that you dip in oil... which makes everything taste the same. The Mona Lisa gives 6 different homemade dipping sauces for the delicious meats! Trust me, it is worth the drive.

The Melting Pot is a French Restaurant??
They serve great drinks, but the whole idea behind dipping dried out meat and fruit in cheese and chocolate is way over-rated. Perhaps the novelty of the experience takes you through your first visit, but beyond that, it certainly didn't float my boat. And we're not talking cheap either, for those prices I'll take a real meal rather than noshies.
