My Experience
Every time my husband and I go in to Ocean City they never have anything fresh out, by the time you get the sushi that you orderd you are either starving to death or your full from everything else because it took the sushi chef too long to make your roll. They don't offer nigiri, or sashimi. Or they have a very limited amount of dishes out. Not to mention that the taste of the food is mediocre. smilies/cry.gif

This place was great!
I liked everything about Ocean City. The service, food, and atmosphere was great. The food tasted great I really loved their egg rolls and orange chicken and they had really good crab cakes. They had a huge variety of food and everything was very fresh. We went with a huge group and all of us really liked it.
The server was really good she was always there clearing plates and filling our drinks. This place beats any buffet I have ever been to . And I would recommend it to everyone. Very delicious.

I've heard this place was good so decided to try it out. The food was ok but since we were pretty much the only ones there the food did not look fresh and nothing fresh was coming out of the kitchen, the grilled prawns were very good but they would bring out about 12 for the whole evening. The soup had a very bad tast, the one thing we liked was our server.

Canned dog food?
In regards to Jon's comment above. So what you are trying to tell us is that you and your family eat canned dog food?

One of the worst Buffet's ever
I am not a big review writer, and usually do not go out of my way to write a comment on a particular restaurant. However, the experience my family had their was bad enough that my wife insisted I write a comment. We called ahead as to find out what sort of dishes were prepared, and what seafood dishes they would have, I was told they would have raw oysters, and grilled oysters available, however this was not true, they were not serving oysters at all that evening. most of the food was bland, overcooked, and had an undesireable after taste. The egg drop soup tasted like warm thick water with a hint of corn. The Hot & Sour soup, had a taste that seemed the base of the soup was made from gerbers baby soup, maybe that had to do with it being a couple days old. The worst thing they served however by far, was any of the dumplings or egg rolls. My wife took one bite of a pork dumpling and it literally tasted like canned dog food. The egg rolls tasted like the filling was old, and had been blended together like in a food processor, I have had many egg rolls, and normally you can identify the items in your egg roll very easily, if there is bean sprouts or carrots, or chicken or beef or cabbage or mushrooms, this was not the case it was extremely mooshy, had no flavor, except of cheap grease. By far the worse buffet I had eaten at in the Boise Area. I Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we will never go back.

Go when it is busy
I have been there twice with my wife. Both time were at dinner, around six o'clock.
My wife did ask for white rice and it was brought out in less than a minute and was typical excellent white rice. We were impressed that that the food was continuously checked for adequate quantity and freshness. They put out small amounts at a time to keep it nice. They also clean up any dropped pieces or whatever right away. I like the hot soup being served fresh and the sushi made to order. They have other cook to order items at the counter that we have not fully explored. We enjoyed Ocean City very much and will go back.

would like to have been a customer
My husband and I have stopped by twice, both times the place was closed. This last time we tried to eat there the hours sign said they open at 12:00 P.M. and close at 9:00 P.M. on Sunday. We got there at 4:00 P.M. and the doors were locked there were people working inside but they wouldn't open the doors to even explain to us why they were closed. So we will never TRY to eat there again. smilies/angry.gif

Close..
I have eaten here twice, both times were good, not great, but almost there, if they would steam thier dim sum better, it would probabally push them into great, but as it stands, in my opinion, i would give it a solid 7 and will continue to eat there. My vote still goes to Chopsticks downtown, that's a solid 9 out of 10!

We had a friend recommend the restaurant. We got there about 6 pm on a Friday night, and it is a beautiful clean new building. Our waitress asked if we had been there before, which we hadn't and she told us how the buffet laid out. She told us how many different food choices we had. She then told us it was $14.95 per person, which for a buffet appeared high but we were there and had been told it was great.

My wife didn't see white rice and asked the person that appeared to be the manager if there was any. He said sure an disappeared toward the kitchen, and reappeared a few minutes later with a bowl of rice. She got it to the table and tried it and decided that he had retrieved it from the sushi prep area. It wasn't edible. It wasn't the type of white rice you would normally eat by itself. We wondered what kind of Chinese Restaurant wouldn't have white rice.

My wife and I were not impressed by the food, it was over cooked, bland and greasy. It wasn't a pleasant experience.

As we got up to leave, at the table across from us I witnessed a family of four. One on the men was holding a fried Crab Rangoon, he said yuck and threw it back on the plate. I pointed at the table and said "exactly" the table busted out laughing they had came to the same conclusion that we had that the food wasn't good.

My wife and I won't be back, and I bet that table of four won't either. Yuck!
