North End Do's and Don'ts
I think the chow mein was pretty good as far as that goes in Boise, but the fried rice was not good at all. I go to Confucious for my fried rice. I did like the hot pepper chicken though. I would definitely recommend that for a nice meal.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had
I think the Chinese-food situation in Boise is dire enough that I can't really recommend any of them (my advice is to eat it when traveling to a big city on the west coast with a bigger Asian influence). If you held a gun to my head and forced me to recommend one, I'd say Yen Ching, although the hordes of white folk working there made it the least authentic Chinese experience I've ever encountered. Is the city that short on Chinese people?

Such is a similar situation at the cleverly titled North End Chinese Restaurant, although I wasn't able to see who was fixing my food in the kitchen. Even if he/she was Chinese, it didn't matter. Crap is crap. And for a city where Chinese food is subpar, this takes the cake for being the worst of them. I got my food way too quickly, which caused some concern. Stale, reheated dreck. Buying La Choy brand food at the store is better than what I got. Stay away.
