The Hollywood Chinese Restaurant
My friend Leslie goes to the Hollywood all the time for their $2.95 lunch specials or $3.95 all you can eat lunch buffet. She took me to the Hollywood for lunch one day and the food is well worth the low price. I enjoyed eating there so much that I took my sister there for lunch when she was in town and wanted to pig out on a Chinese buffet. It was my birthday the next day and she treated me to a feast.

The Hollywood also has a $5.95 dinner buffet that is well worth your time whenever you are in the Boise area.

The Hollywood is located near the Boise Towne Square Mall and is run by two Chinese sisters who greet you with a smile and great, kind, fast service. You are seated almost immediately, and you are allowed to help yourself to the buffet tables or order from the menu.

Leslie and I always get the dinner buffet. The buffet is small, but the food is delicious. There is Mandarin Chicken, General's Chicken, and other Chinese specialities. There is also hot and sour soup, macaroni and cheese, and egg rolls, along with a small dessert bar that has fresh and canned fruit and homemade donuts.

My favorite dishes at the Hollywood are the General's Chicken, which I always have seconds on, the eggrolls, and the Crab Cheese Puffs, which are little turnovers stuffed with cream cheese, a little bit of crab, and green onions. Leslie and I always want to pig out on the entire tray of them, but we somehow manage to restrain ourselves. The donuts are best warm and eaten with the fresh bananas with raspberry sauce.

The Hollywood is decorated with Chinese tapestries and artwork and has booths for you to sit in.

So go on into the Hollywood one day and pig out on good Chinese food for a great price.
