While it's not really Chinese food, it fulfills it's purpose, some of the dishes are not good, but I do like the place cause it's cheap, and you can fill up for a few dollars. which serves my purpose.

Consumer Beware!
I think you have to have a healthy skepticism about any place that uses the words "Chinese", "International", "Buffet", or "American" in the same description. Although I haven't eaten at China One, the name itself would be a bit off putting. I do think that an exception to my rule (or perhaps a better word is "bias") is the Chinese buffet on Vista, across from the recently renovated Vista strip mall. I've always found the food to be tasty, fresh, and of a nice variety. But the fact remains, my friends, that if you are looking for a truly authentic experience of Chinese cuisine, you ain't gonna go to no buffet. It's sad to see just how "dumbed down" Chinese food has been over the years, although it's probably been a blessing to Thai restaurants.

Absolutely horrible food- worst I've ever had
My wife and I just got back from China 1 Buffet and are hoping we don't get sick. That was the worst Chinese buffet I have ever been to (and I've seen a lot). I grabbed my plate and found all of the food looked as if it had been heated and re-heated again and again (dry crusty sweet n sour chicken and pork. I wish you could see what I saw. It was horrible. I'm usually a pig at places like this but I couldn't even fill one plate. The shrimp and chicken seemed barely cooked, slimy. I cannot believe the price was over 9.50 without including drinks. I'd take any buffet over this place. Upon finishing dinner no one asked us how our dinner was probably because they knew better than that. It was a disaster.

Whomever wrote the previous commentary must have had the wrong address. I've eaten here a number of times, and find it to be an outstanding place to eat. It's a clean place, a wide variety of selections, good food, and the prices are very reasonable. Whomever did the previous review had to have a hidden agenda. The fact that it's always packed makes a mockary of whomever is that last reviewer.

My Favorite Restaurant
It's one of my favorite places to eat. The food is great. It's usually a very quiet atmosphere because there aren't many people there. It is one of Boise's best kept secrets.

NOT so good chinese food
This place really doesn't float my boat for a number of reasons. It's not clean and it's not good. Those are my top two complaints. I am pretty forward with that fact that I think that the dirtier the chinese restaurant, the better the food will taste, but this is an acception. And the food is not authentic and its certainly not worth the money or the calories. There aren't any Chinese/Asain places in the Boise area that I would die to eat at probably, but this is definitely one of the last on my list.
