... Just passing through Boise and wanted an ale. What a delight. They had a wide selection and the appetizers were so good we decided to eat dinner. The salmon was excellent. Hope your lucky enough to get Keith, he knew the menu , helped us with selections and overall made our stop very pleasant. |

agree with the snobby staff i love craft beer so this place is definitly a great place to taste some of the regions best. however after two experiances with snobby waitstaff i may not be back. also there ridiculously priced apps. suck . to put it bluntly. i think the only people who like this place are snobs who want to be seen paying high prices and putting up with snobby staff. |

Terrific Board&Bass, I suspect you harbor some unhealthy grudge against the folks at Bittercreek, you don't make any sense. There are a handful of great local places in downtown Boise, I include Bar Garnika, Bardenay, Chandlers, Gino's, Berryhill, Mai Tai, Zen Bento (for lunch) this place is our favorite and we really like all I listed. Huge selection of northwest craft ale, if you are serious about craft beer this is the place, imbibe just named Bittercreek one of the top 100 bars in America. The food is genuinely local, a treat at this level of dining and well above the typical chain or pub-grub scene, lunch is standing room only. By reading a menu how do you consider a bacon cheese burger with hand-cut fries "not very appetizing"? They have an award winning wine-list and the c**ktails are handmade with fresh juice. I have a friend that works at this place, the staff at Bittercreek have almost no turnover, some have been there for years, one of the best groups in downtown. Bittercreek gets busy and the staff can get a bit rushed at times, expect it in busy places. |

Disaster Good thing they have a prime location. I have no idea how this place would make any money otherwise. I've been in 3 times (the 2nd two times I was talked into it). Each time the c**ktails tasted horrible and the slow staff had an attitude. Sure, the menu is ambitous. Yet nothing on it has ever sounded very appetizing. I haven't tried the food. The few times we've started our night on the town here, we haven't wanted to stay long enough to try it. Every other element has been bad. |
