ok food, bad people
i just read bobby's report and will have to agree..i also have worked at the bent fork, and of all of the restaurants and bars i have worked at, bent fork was the most unprofessional..i never had any issues with roger, the owner, myself, but his daughter amanda is another story..she is the manager, and is as catty as a high school girl. she is constantly talking about other employees, regardless of who may be around. she plays favoritism to the tenth degree, and is constantly judging everyone, including customers. she is a beautiful girl, but i think she has self image issues, and is always judging the other girl employees looks, not performance. I was hired to serve and bartend, and ended up getting scheduled an hour a day at lunch, helping the other servers get food out..at 3.35 an hour...after talking to her nothing changed..food is ok- steve, the head cook is a good guy, but amanda is out of control and in my opinion really brings the place down

HORRIBLE! BOTH FOOD AND SERVICE. Have been there when you can get waited on because the servers are more interested in chatting with their co-workers.

This place has gone down hill since it was the Creekside by previous owners....
Went with a friend on a Taco Tuesday after work. They don't tell you up front that you have to pay for any "extras" on your Taco, you know like onions, salsa, etc. The waitress was kind enough to remove those charges but kept arguing with us. Not professional. Also, the wine they have for $2 a glass is horrible! Tasted like bad watered down wine. There are much better places in Caldwell to eat. Will never return to the Bent Fork.

bad people
I use to work at the Bent Fork and sure the food is good, however if you actually knew what went on there you probably wouldn’t eat there again. The managers are unprofessional and the owner treats his employees as if they are below him. (His own son couldn't even put up with him so he quit)
If you happen to go in there after the lunch rush you'll find the manager "Mayo" sitting at the bar drinking until the restaurant closes. It may not sound bad, however by the time dinner starts; he's on his pill popping alcoholic rage’s yelling at everyone for his mistakes. Not to mention that he drives home drunk every night (and the owner condones it).
Roger, Amanda, & "Mayo" also talk bad about their customers just as bad as they treat their employees. All you have to do is really listen and you’ll hear it.
I'm not telling you not to eat there, I'm just informing my fellow Caldwell people of what they do at this establishment and hope that the customers see how they treat the people that make and serve the food. And I can guarantee that someone will comment that I’m just a disgruntled employee trying to get back at them. so have at it, everyone’s entitled to their opinion.
