Small portions? Holy cow how much food do you need? I'm a big eater and I can't finish my breakfast at Goldy's w/o feeling sick! With the quality of food and service, I feel the food is priced on the low side. If you want MASSIVE portions of greasy cheap breakfast food that is ok, go the the Sunrise Cafe'! Goldy's is stuck with their unique situtation as it is a HISTORICAL building. They can't make any changes to it...not even the A/C. Write you legislator. Few businesses succeed when they move and expand. Stay where you are Goldy's! There isn't a better breakfast place anywhere in the country...not even Le Peeps in Denver is better! So stick that in your pipe and smoke it! :-)

The food was great,the wait not bad , From n.y. so am used to rude a-holes but this punk ass takes the prize. Kind of sucks because Boise as a whole was very nice and friendly . As my 11 year old daughter and I thanked the punk with narrow specs for refilling our classes of water he made a real punk assed comment. I could hardly believe it but because my daughter was with me I let it slide. She even said something to me after we left. I hope the owner catches on to this punk before him turns more people off to there nice place . smilies/wink.gif

I love Goldy's! I moved away from Boise 3 years ago to Idaho Falls and everytime I make a visit back Goldy's is a must-stop for me! They have the best stuffed french toast and I love their sweet potato hashbrowns. I'm not a fan of beets, but their Red Flannel hash is wonderful! The atmosphere inside is great and I've never been disappointed with their food. I don't think the prices are bad, but do expect a long wait if you show up mid-morning on Saturday. smilies/grin.gif

Most popular breakfast restaurant? I doubt that. I think it only seems that way because of the ridiculous way it's set up. If there were a nice waiting area inside, the place would less noticeable. If they had as much space as the typical breakfast place, then you might be able to compare how busy they are to other places. It just seem like it's a happening place because it's so tiny that it always feels crowded. They have an established following now, so I hope they're looking for a better location.

High prices and small portions. The wait is always way too long considering you have to stand on the street. At least you get free coffee while you wait. After you've waited for 30 min+, you are seated in a tiny, cramped table. On the positive side, the food really is decent. Although you might feel ripped off when you're paying the bill.
