We have eaten at Cool Hand Lukes twice and both times the food was fabulous!!! Most of us ordered the skirt steak which was really good. Others that did not have the skirt steak also had a good hot meal.

Cool hand lukes horrible food
smilies/angry.gifsmilies/angry.gif We went there to cool hands about 2 weeks ago, we ordered 2 prime rib after a hour and half we got the food if thats what they call it, there was nothing on the potato, the meat was micro-waved, there is no way you can cut a rare prime rib and it is cold and tastless, and dry. no silver ware, we had to ask for it. the drinks were lousy the prime rib a dog would not eat, a pot of beans no season just old cooked pintos. for 55.00 dollors I can eat at home. never agin YUK YUK YUK YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was absolutely wonderful. the food was great, the waiter was very informative and polite. Very helpful she was. I would return again . The prices was very
reasonable for the amount of food you were served. Our kids took us there for our 50th wedding anniversey. We would return again.

We have never been there before. Our children took us there for our 50th wedding anniversary. It was absolutely a wonderful time. The food was great
and the server was sweet, kind and helpful in helping us decide what to order.
She was well informed about what the menu was. Our daughter had Celiacspu and she told our daughter was best to order and safe to eat.
The prices was reasonable considering what we ordered. I ordered a tri tip steak, stagecoach shrimp, a salad, and baked potato. Had hot rolls, and pinto beans in a small bowl to share with two others. The water was served in a large pint jar like a mason jar and very unique. I would return again.
The food was served in a good time. It was dark in their like the Black angus restaurant that is the only thing I would say was bad. But I had my son who helped me see what was good to roder. My eyes are not good as they should be .

In-love with Luke!
I came to this page before I went to Lukes and to be quite honest I was a little hesitant to try it out. But then I was reminded by my husband that negative people are not only NEVER happy, but they also tend to shout negativity from the roof tops! So we gave it a shot. The place is absolutely gorgeous! We had a fabulous dinner that we couldn't even begin to finish, but it sure was good for lunch the next day! smilies/smiley.gif Our little waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Our drinks were amazing too...had a great berry mojito! So if you're thinking about trying Lukes out, don't be discouraged by these other "Debbie Downers!" If you ask us, not enough people know about this amazing steakhouse!!!

Not a satisfied customer
My two buddies and I ate there in Sun, June 13, 2010, I ordered a 12.99 1/2 burger, one friend ordered the baby back ribs, another the chicken fried steak.
Well after a 35 minute wait for the food, ( the place was empty mind you) , the food arrived, I was served the coldest frikken bacon cheeseburger I have ever had, it looked like it sat for a while while ribs were cooked. The onion rings were limp and soggy. My buddies ribs were about half cooked and almost inedible. The crummy bartender was too busy to ever notice that we were out of beer ( he was watching the game you know) had to ask him to get us beer several times.
This place is another example of an overpriced, lousy food restaurant, with a cool building, it wont last long, would NEVER recommend this place to any one!!!!!

I have been to cool hand lukes several times and every time is better than the previous. The service is outstanding, and our waitress made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant, even on a busy friday night. The prime rib is to DIE FOR! Slow roasted and juicy, accompanied with hot mashed potatoes, mmmm. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the ultimate dining experience.

My wife and i have been to the Eagle Location twice.
Do yourself a favor and get the angus burger at any fast food restaurant and you will be more satisfied at both the meal and the service.

How pathetic
The food was not to order, wrong sides accompanied our entrees. I seriously thought they just brought us the wrong order. Over 30 minutes later they corrected the mistakes. Waitress showed us she sent it back correctly, didn't seem to notice she still brought it out wrong. Maybe a little less time on non food related aspects of their business, such as the website, and SOME attention to the food would help.

A restaurant soon to join the Idaho Steakhouse( as in..out of business)
We had decided to try the Eagle location, our first visit. We arrived around 830pm, and although there was only 3 other parties waiting to be seated, we did not get seated until 1 hour later. The service was slow, and my wife ordered a NY steak well done, and I the ribeye. When our steaks finally arrived, they were not cooked as ordered, they were tough, and once the server dropped off the food, we never seen him again for 30 minutes. Comparing this place to Texas Roadhouse, the prices are higher, the food is lower quality, and the service is not even in the same league. They had better clean up their act or they will be gone within one year.

SECOND TIME A CHARM
The first my family and I went the Cool hand lukes we felt as a whole that the overall opion was marginal. Last night however was a different story same great building same beautiful restaraunt and know the servers and the food matches the building it was teriffic. Our server walk us through the menu suggested the Prime Rib which she informed us was slow roasted for 16 hrs and the award winning rib eye, man what a difference. Food was great and the price was affordable just like before. We will go back for sure, glad we gave them a chance to work the bugs out.

Cool Hand Lukes!!!
I have been reading some of the rude comments written about Cool Hand Lukes, I don't know anything about the Eagle location as I haven't been there, But I have been to the Boise Cool Hand Lukes and have enjoyed it each and every time. the staff there has always seemed to go out of their way to make sure your experience was enjoyable.
Maybe some communication (in some cases ) would help???

The New York steak is to die for! Love how you get beans and rolls sort of like chips and salsa yet cowboy style! Both locations are different but the food is outstanding!

Great Food, Great Prices
My husbands company had their Christmas Party there and I had never even heard of it. I thought the food was amazing. We had the calamari Strips for appetizers, the steak with garlic and mushrooms and my husband had the prime rib. SOOOO good... one of the best steaks I have ever had. The service was ok... not excellent but acceptable and the prices were really affordable. I would def. reccomend this place to anyone looking for a good steak. smilies/grin.gif
