Love is a blanket of real mashed potatoes
They call them corny pots, real mashed potatoes with real cream corn gravy. Its like sitting by the fire on a bitterly cold night. The rest of the menu is no slouch either. It all tastes wonderful. I eat there often and for me it is like stepping of the fast track for a culinary massage.

Love it!
smilies/cheesy.gifsmilies/cheesy.gif Have to say that this is one of the most unique restaurants in Boise...yes, you stand in line to get served, something I love having come here from many other cities...I enjoy talking to fellow line standers..watching the staff prepare the food...What you are served is what amazes me...entrees that are carefully crafted with layered flavors..service that is genuine and caring..and a dining location can't be beat...on a plaza that reminds me of travels in Europe...All this keeps me coming back week after week!

Good for families
Very nice place to bring the family, whether that's the kids or the parents, all will find something they like. My one complaint: most of the hot items aren't as hot as they should be. Recommended.

The Brick Oven Bistro: New Adventures in Comfort Food http://bit.ly/GOvjP
The Brick Oven Bistro refers to their menu as "slow food served fast". I like to think of it as "new adventures in comfort food". There's a great story based on a Behind The Menu interview with the owners Stephanie Telesco and Jeff Nee that will give you some insight into their culinary mission...and why they've managed to remain a restaurant icon for nearly 25 years in a town that has seen restaurant concepts come and go (especially the latter these days). smilies/smiley.gif
