Excellent vegan options!
I love the Boise Fry Co, particularly for the red quinoa and black bean burger. The fries are great too, with so many seasonings and sauces to choose from. We make the 1/2-hour drive about twice a month - would go more if we had the time and funds to spend on eating out. smilies/grin.gif

Best yam fries around
Really like this place, it's in the weirdest location, but really good. It really sucks that the potato lobby made them change their name.smilies/tongue.gif

Not what I expected
I went in to this place expecting it to be more of a down home kind of place. After all, it's in a strip mall in desperate need of renovation but once you step inside it's like a completely different world. The walls are adorned with paintings of Boise as well as a 40 inch TV. Then there's the seating: two raised benches where you sit shoulder to shoulder with the people next to you. Word to the wise: definitely not a place to take kids. I didn't have mine with me but as I scanned the room I didn't notice any there nor did I see any high chairs or kiddie menu either. Now, I like my fries crispy so I was a little disappointed with the home style russets I got but there's so many different cuts there that I'm sure I'll find another that will suit my tastes better. The sauces are decent but not spectacular although you have to try the blueberry ketchup just to say you have tried it. The burger was awesome. Probably one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, soft bun, melty cheese and tangy red marinate red onions. Wow! I will definitely pay this place a visit again.

Purple fries rock!
This place is the best burger/fry place in town! I usually get the bison burger which has an interesting combo of spices and fresh greens on top. They also marinate their onions in wine and they complement the burger really well.

The purple fries and the okinawa are my faves. They are both slightly sweeter than an average fry but less extreme than sweet potatoes or yams. Try them with the blueberry ketchup or their garlic aioloi.
